Vineyard and terroir

The fruit combines warmer vineyards around 400 m with cooler sites reaching 950 m. The south-east- and south-west-facing sites have limestone and porphyry soils. Mediterranean warmth is moderated by cool winds from the surrounding Dolomites. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand.

Grapes

100% Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir).

Vinification

Traditional temperature-controlled fermentation lasts approximately 10 days in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation follows, divided between stainless steel and 22 hl large oak barrels.

Ageing

Maturation takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in 22 hl large oak barrels.

Technical data

The 2025 has 13.00% alcohol, 5.4 g/L total acidity and 1.5 g/L residual sugar. Available formats are 0.75 L and 0.375 L. Expected ageing is 5–7 years.

Tasting profile

Clear, fresh ruby red. Red berries, cherries and raspberries shape the fruit-driven bouquet, accompanied by spice and white pepper. The palate is juicy and fresh, with soft, velvety tannins, restrained background spice and a youthful, elegant finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C with first courses or light main courses.

Vintage notes

The 2025 harvest began on 27 August and finished just over a month later. Relatively early flowering was followed by a warm, dry June and a distinctly cooler July, which helped retain freshness and acidity. August brought favourable ripening conditions. September alternated sunshine with some rain toward the end of harvest, while the grapes arrived in healthy condition and balanced maturity.
