Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from warmer, mid-altitude sites on both sides of the mountain ridge, facing south-east and south-west. Calcareous soils contain clay and sand. Warm Mediterranean summer days are balanced by cool mountain nights and winds from the Dolomites. The grapes are picked and selected by hand.

Grapes

100% Schiava.

Vinification

Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with six days of skin contact.

Ageing

The wine matures in traditional large oak casks.

Technical data

The 2025 has 12.50% alcohol, 5.0 g/L total acidity and 2.1 g/L residual sugar. It is available in 0.75 L bottles and has an expected ageing window of 2–4 years.

Tasting profile

Bright ruby red with a delicate cherry aroma. The palate is harmonious and elegant, with naturally mild acidity and tannins. A pleasant bitter-almond nuance marks the finish, which has good length. The overall style is light and fruit-driven.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C or lightly chilled. Suitable partners include Mediterranean food, pasta dishes and antipasti.

Vintage notes

The 2025 harvest began on 27 August and continued for just over a month. Relatively early flowering preceded a warm, dry June. A cooler July supported natural freshness and acidity, and August provided favourable ripening weather. September mixed sunny periods with occasional rain toward the conclusion of harvest; the grapes arrived healthy and balanced.

Recognition

The 2023 vintage received 90 points from Wine Spectator.
