Vineyard and terroir
The Garganega grapes grow at 200 m above sea level in vineyards with rocky limestone soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into 15 kg wooden crates. After destemming they are pressed, and the juice stays in contact with the skins for several hours. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature in steel tanks, and 50% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, then settles for a further 6 months after bottling.
Tasting profile
Fresh and floral, with light fruit and mineral notes.
Label / history
The wine takes its name from the place where it is grown. It is labelled Villa Erbice.
