Vineyard and terroir
The selected fruit comes from the dedicated “Tauriano di Spilimbergo” vineyard in Friuli Grave. The site lies 100 m above sea level at the foot of the Dolomites, which shelter it from cold northerly winds. Its soils are rich in gravel, and the vines are farmed at extremely low yields.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at full ripeness and gently pressed. The wine is produced by the Charmat-Martinotti method.
Ageing
It spends around 150 days in an autoclave.
