Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Sauvignon Blanc is grown in Tauriano, in the foothills of the Dolomites, at approximately 120 m above sea level. The south-facing vineyards contain vines averaging 25 years of age.
Vinification
Selected grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness, usually in early September. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel for four months.
Tasting profile
Bright and refreshing, with a well-structured palate.
Label / history
The wine was created through a collaboration between Fantinel and American singer Mary J. Blige. Its name recalls Blige’s childhood love of sunshine and warmth and the nickname “Sun Goddess,” given to her by her mother. She chose it for the range because of its connection to her life and to nature.
Before establishing the Fantinel family business in Friuli, Mario Fantinel, owner of the Fantinel brand, ran several hotels and restaurants. His later attraction to the land led him into winemaking.
