Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in the commune of Sinalunga, at elevations of 200–550 metres. They include older vines planted between 1954 and 1982 and younger plantings dating from 1990.
Grapes
The blend contains a small proportion of Merlot.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and fermented in neutral vessels.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months in oak barrels of various sizes.
Label / history
The name Felsina dates back to Etruscan times. Fattoria di Felsina was founded in 1966.
