Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Nero d’Avola comes from alberello-trained vineyards in southeastern Sicily.
Grapes
Nero d’Avola.
Vinification
Whole grapes undergo direct pressing. The liquid fraction then ferments with indigenous yeasts in small stainless-steel vessels below 16°C. Slow secondary fermentation follows at low temperature with the wine’s own yeasts. It is bottled with a slight residual amount of naturally produced carbon dioxide.
Ageing
At least three months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Pale pink with bright reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose presents intense strawberry and small red-fruit aromas with floral notes of rose. Broad and soft on the palate, with pleasant freshness and structure.
