Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie east of Lake Garda, where the local climate and terrain allow each grape variety to show its full potential. The vines grow at 220–300 m above sea level in soils rich in limestone and marl.
Vinification
The wine is made by the ripasso method: it undergoes a second fermentation in oak barrels with the grape-skin pomace left after Amarone production.
Ageing
Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.
