Grapes
Native to Sicily, Nero d'Avola was used mainly in blends for centuries. Focused experimentation with the variety began in the 1970s to understand it more fully and bring out its qualities.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September, and the must ferments in steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in steel vats, followed by six months in 3,000-litre oak botti.
Tasting profile
Rich, well structured and balanced.
