Grapes
The blend comprises equal parts Nero d'Avola, identified as a native Sicilian variety, and Cabernet Sauvignon, described as an international variety.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from the final ten days of September through the first ten days of October. Fermentation lasts 14 days at 24–26 °C.
Ageing
The wine ages in barrels for seven months.

Label / history
Annual production is 350,000 bottles. Firriato was founded in 1985 by Salvatore Di Gaetano in the ancient town of Erice, near Trapani. Under his supervision, the estate expanded through the creation of new wines and the acquisition of new farms, while improving its techniques and equipment.
