Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from north-facing vineyards on the hills of the “Mulberry Large” (“Big Mulberry”) estate, at 300 metres above sea level. The mixed, medium-textured soils are predominantly clay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the third week of August at optimal ripeness. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 8–10 days at 24 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for one month in small sessile-oak barriques, followed by one month in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
Ruby red with garnet highlights. The palate is charming, with delicate tannins and a smooth texture.
