Label / history
Francesco Folonari founded Folonari in 1825 in Valcamonica, in the Veneto region. In the mid-nineteenth century, the family moved to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps. Folonari began bottling its own wines—an unusual practice in the second half of the nineteenth century—with the aim of producing good-quality wines for everyday drinking.
