Vineyard and terroir
Biancospino belongs to the estate’s Monte Amiata project. Vigna dei Ciliegi lies in Cinigiano at approximately 480 metres above sea level, with a north-eastern exposure. Its 1.37 hectares contain layered soils of galestro, sandstone, clay and tuff. The site is bright and consistently ventilated, with an intensely Mediterranean and comparatively dry climate.
The vineyard was planted in 2020 at 4,000 vines per hectare and is trained to Guyot. It contains several local white varieties, with different clones of Trebbiano Toscano predominating alongside Vermentino and Malvasia Bianca. Fruit from this vineyard is designated for Biancospino and Le Ragazze.
