Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the Vallagarina Valley, where nearby Lake Garda and mountain air currents influence the growing conditions. The soils are alluvial and basaltic, and the grapes ripen well in this environment.
Grapes
Marzemino is an ancient native variety first recorded in northern Italy in the fifteenth century.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed to preserve the anthocyanins responsible for the wine’s rich colour. Traditional red-wine vinification includes skin maceration under controlled temperatures. Fermentation and maceration last 15 days. The wine has no contact with wood.
Tasting profile
Elegant, fresh and fruity, with a distinctive aroma.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with meats, pasta with meat sauces, first courses and mushroom soup.
