Vineyard and terroir
The Vermentino is grown in Gallura, Sardinia’s only DOCG appellation, which extends across a large area in the north of the island. Its southern boundary follows the Coghinas River in the west, turns slightly north around the Monti di Alà hills and reaches the eastern coast near Posada. The vineyards lie on sandstone, stony and granite soils.
Vinification
Traditional white vinification takes place in steel tanks to preserve freshness.
Ageing
After bottling, the wine rests for 4–6 months in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Fresh.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with fish, mildly spiced first courses, vegetable soups, salads and white meat. It can also be served as an aperitif.
