Tasting profile
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The complex bouquet brings together ripe cherry, blackberry, violet, tobacco and spice. Full-bodied and elegant, the palate balances vibrant acidity with firm yet velvety tannins. Cherry and raspberry flavours are joined by liquorice and dark chocolate. The finish is long and persistent, leaving red-fruit and spice notes. The wine has excellent ageing potential.

Label / history
The name commemorates Willa of Tuscany, who governed during the tenth century. In 978 she founded the Badia Fiorentina, Florence’s oldest Benedictine monastery, creating an important religious and cultural centre. She donated three Chianti Classico vineyards to the monastery, including lands at Radda; this episode became the foundation of the “Contessa di Radda” story.
