Vineyard and terroir
The estate owns a 5.5-hectare plot in Asili. Yields are deliberately kept low to express the nuances of the terroir.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully sorted before vinification.
Ageing
The wine matures for 20 months in French oak barrels. It is then assessed and, if it meets Bruno Giacosa’s quality standards, bottled and held for a further eight months in the winery’s cellars before release.
Tasting profile
The wine has finesse and elegance.
Label / history
The winery uses two labels: Bruno Giacosa for wines made from purchased grapes and Falletto for wines from its own vineyards. Bruno Giacosa personally oversees the quality of purchased fruit. The estate vineyards cover 20 hectares across Serralunga d’Alba, La Morra and Barbaresco.
