Vineyard and terroir

The vines grow in separate parcels at two vineyards: Felciaino, planted in 1986 and 2001, and Fondi, planted in 1984. Bolgheri has a moderately warm climate tempered by cool sea breezes, which helps the grapes ripen evenly. The soils are alluvial with limestone; this mix of minerality and good drainage helps the grapes develop a rich aromatic profile while keeping clean acidity. Warm days and cool nights give a balance of concentration and freshness.

Grapes

The blend is 50% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Syrah. Each variety is harvested at its own moment to balance ripeness and freshness.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks with native yeasts.

Ageing

The wine ages on the lees, which adds depth and complexity and highlights the Bolgheri terroir.

Tasting profile

Elegant and expressive, with a soft structure and fresh acidity. Easy to drink, yet with enough character to bring out the nuances of a meal. Sangiovese contributes fresh berries and herbal notes, Cabernet Sauvignon firm tannins, and Syrah spice.

Serving and pairing

Suited to lunch or dinner with Tuscan dishes, especially in autumn and between seasons.
