Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard lies in Monteforte d'Alpone at 150–200 metres above sea level, with a southerly exposure and volcanic soils.
Grapes
The wine is made from a selection of the finest grapes.
Vinification
Harvest takes place between 20 September and 10 October. The grapes are gently pressed, and only the first-press juice is retained. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled steel tanks at 16–18 °C. After primary fermentation, the wine undergoes a second fermentation with lactic acid bacteria, which softens and balances it.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels and in bottle, gaining further complexity.
Tasting profile
Clear mineral notes reflect the volcanic soils. The palate is soft and balanced, with complexity developed through ageing.
Label / history
Annual production is limited to 6,600 bottles.
