Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the 1 ha Gianetto vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba. Its clay-limestone soils support vines averaging 8–10 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and macerated in cement vats for 20–25 days, with pump-overs three or four times daily.
Ageing
The wine matures for three years in 15–25 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Layered, juicy and aromatic.
Serving and pairing
Decant for 1–2 hours before serving.
Label / history
Annual production does not exceed 5,500 bottles.
