Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Vigna Stidda vineyard in the Canzeria Valley, in the municipality of Chiaramonte in southeastern Sicily, at 420 m above sea level. The estate’s vineyards are organically farmed.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first half of October. They undergo a short maceration followed by temperature-controlled fermentation and malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is bottled and matures for about one year.
Tasting profile
Fresh and aromatic, with the power of Nero d’Avola balanced by the softness of Frappato.
