Vineyard and terroir
Carricante and Albanello have been cultivated for centuries on Mount Iblea in the province of Ragusa. The vines are planted at a density of 9,000 per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks and in 225- and 500-litre wooden barrels.
Ageing
The wine remains in the fermentation vessels for at least 12 months, followed by several additional months in bottle.
