Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the approximately 10 ha Vinga Ragoleti vineyard in the commune of Licodia Eubea, southeastern Sicily. The vineyard lies on a plateau in the Ibleian Mountains at 450 m above sea level. Surrounding pine forests help maintain a mild local climate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the second half of September and vinified at a controlled temperature with a short maceration.
Label / history
Rossojbleo received a gold star at the Vinibuoni d’Italia competition in 2013. Gulfi was established in 1996 by Vito Catania and his family.
