Label / history
The name “Favorosa” refers to Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of unified Italy, and his favourite, La Bela Rosin, who later became his morganatic wife. The king gave her a large estate in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba, where the winery was located.
The label depicts two large berries, an allusion to La Bela Rosin’s curves, which the king was rumoured to have greatly admired.
