Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are situated at 200–300 m above sea level, on soils rich in limestone and red clay.
Vinification
The Merlot is harvested by hand in mid-September, followed by the Sangiovese in mid-October. Fermentation and maceration take place at controlled temperatures.
Ageing
The wine ages for 15 months, partly in French oak barrels and partly in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Fruit and floral aromas typical of Sangiovese lead to a soft, refreshing palate.
Serving and pairing
Pair with meat dishes, cured meats, roasted meat or soft cheeses.
