Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown by hand in vineyards in Panicale, trained on the Guyot system, with moderate yields for concentrated aromas and an expressive taste. Umbria's climate, with moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights, preserves lively acidity, lightness and freshness. The La Fiorita estate lies on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, between the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno and the medieval town of Panicale. It covers around 100 hectares, 32 of them vineyards. The soils are clay-limestone, and the mild climate with warm summers and cool nights lets the grapes ripen slowly.

Vinification

After picking, the grapes are gently pressed and cold-macerated on the skins for 4–6 hours at a low temperature, which preserves freshness and helps extract subtle fruit and floral notes. Primary fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 14–16 °C, bringing out the fruit and mineral character.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine rests in bottle for 2–3 months, so that the flavours come together and the aromas open fully.

Tasting profile

Light, elegant and expressive, with delicate freshness and a complex aromatic profile. Subtle fruit and floral notes are joined by a light mineral note recalling wet stone or a gentle sea breeze. Clean, fresh and expressive on the palate, with lively acidity.

Label / history

Luxe Collection is Lamborghini's premium range, made from selected grapes. Its bottles carry a refined design. Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the winery in the 1960s, after leaving the automotive business to return to his agricultural roots. His daughter, Patrizia Lamborghini, has managed the estate since the 1990s. The winery works with the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
