Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie near the Adriatic Sea in a mild Mediterranean climate. Their clay-limestone soils are rich in trace elements. The vines are 20 years old and planted at a density of 5,000 vines per hectare, with a yield of 90 hectolitres.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late August and undergo 16 hours of cold pre-fermentation maceration. After gentle pressing, the must ferments slowly in temperature-controlled tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for several months.
