Early history\nThe estate that would become Le Monde was mentioned in documents as early as 997 AD, when it was described as a castle in a river port of the Venetian Republic.\n\n### Le Monde today\nLe Monde winery, operated by Arcadia Societa Agricola, was founded in Portobuffolé, near Venice, as part of the Villa Giustinian tourist complex. Today the site is home to a hotel and restaurant complex where visitors can experience a taste of Venetian luxury and enjoy the cuisine of the Veneto region.\n\nIn 2009, the company began renovating the estate and building a new winery. Today visitors can come to the winery and experience the winemaking atmosphere for themselves, and the estate regularly hosts open tastings and cultural events attended not only by well-known wine critics, but by anyone who appreciates authentic Italian wine.

The estate is located in Portobuffolé, near Venice, in the Veneto region. It is described as having an outstanding terroir, which along with careful management helps the business remain profitable and successful.

The estate's vines are 30 years old and older, cultivated across 40 ha of vineyards.
