Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in northeastern Italy, between the Alps and the Adriatic. The coast supplies the moisture the vines need, while the hills shelter them from the intense sun. According to the text, these conditions help the grapes develop aroma, depth of flavour and the right level of sweetness. The soils are clay-limestone, rich in trace elements.
Vinification
The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness in late September. They undergo pre-fermentation for one day at a controlled temperature. The wine is then fermented on the lees.
Tasting profile
Shows the classic character of the grape, with a pleasant fruity taste and the fresh, lightly spicy aroma typical of Sauvignon Blanc.
Serving and pairing
Suited as an aperitif or with fish dishes.
