Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie between the Alps and the Adriatic. Coastal moisture supplies the vines with water, while the hills shelter them from intense sunlight. The Sauvignon blanc grows on clay-limestone soils rich in trace elements; these conditions promote aromatic development and depth of flavour.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness in late September. They then undergo a one-day pre-fermentation stage at a controlled temperature, followed by fermentation on the lees.
Tasting profile
The wine has a pleasant fruity palate and a fresh, gently spicy aroma.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with fish or vegetable dishes.
