Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the hills on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the Veneto. The soil is clay over a gravel base, which supports generous harvests of red varieties.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand, carefully sorted and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 5–6 days at a controlled temperature of 18–20 °C. Red wine production at Lenotti involves fermenting the must at lower temperatures.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in modern cellars with a capacity of 25 thousand hectolitres.
Tasting profile
Elegant and aromatic, with a pleasantly fresh, dry taste and a delicate finish.
Serving and pairing
Pairs well with meat dishes and cheeses.
Label / history
The wine is bottled cold on a dedicated, innovative line. Before bottling it is chilled to eliminate microbes and filtered. The bottles are treated with hot steam and rinsed with sterilized water before the cold wine is poured in. They are sealed with a technology that leaves no oxygen beneath the cork, so the wine keeps its individual character for a long time. Lenotti uses modern equipment for winemaking, storage and bottling, aiming to improve quality while preserving the wines' authentic character.
