Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese and Merlot grow at 300 m above sea level in south- and southwest-facing vineyards, where the exposure provides additional sunlight. The vines are planted at an average density of 5,500 plants per hectare in soils composed of limestone, sand and slate.
Vinification
Vinification took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at 26 °C. The 25–30-day process included extended skin contact.
Ageing
The wine aged for six months in oak barrels, followed by six months in bottle.
