It took on its present form in the second half of the 18th century.\n\n### The Pozzoli family\nThe Pozzoli family has owned the estate and the surrounding land since 1904, passing its winemaking knowledge and passion down from one generation to the next. The family is now in its fourth generation, and its winemakers continue to develop sustainable growing methods designed to protect the environment and conserve natural resources as much as possible.\n\n### Chianti Classico consortium\nSince 1924, when the Italian consortium supporting and developing the historic Chianti Classico name was founded, Lornano has been a member. The winery continues to introduce projects aimed at expanding the possibilities of winemaking in Tuscany.
