Storia
Founding and Growth (1945–2009)
IVAM was founded by Alfio Madaudo in 1945. Over two generations, the company specialized in the selection and bottling of regional wines, investing considerable effort and resources in building new facilities and modernizing production. Its advanced technology and annual output of around 9,000,000 bottles made it the third-largest winery in Sicily. Alfio Madaudo continually looked for ways to improve the quality and presentation of the company's products while keeping pace with market trends.
Transformation into a Consortium (end of 2009)
With the goals of improving quality and presentation, brothers Alfio and Andrea Madaudo began transforming the business at the end of 2009. IVAM became Cantine IVAM, a consortium bringing together a group of producers and a winemaking facility. The consortium's members own a total of approximately 300 ha of vineyards in different parts of Sicily, classified as Sicily IGT, Sicily DOC and Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG. Winemaking is overseen by the company's agronomists and winemakers, who ensure consistent quality across the different brands.
