Vineyard and terroir

La Manina follows the philosophy of the La Contessa cuvée but comes from vineyards beyond Terlan. Younger vineyards form its foundation, supplemented by carefully selected purchased grapes and second pressings from Manincor’s leading single-vineyard wines.

Grapes

The 2025 blend comprises 51% Pinot Blanc, 33% Chardonnay and 16% Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinification

After destemming, the grapes remained in the press for a six-hour skin maceration to extract aroma and structure. Fermentation proceeded with native yeasts, partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matured on its fine lees for six months, integrating and refining its aromas and flavours.

Technical data

Vintage 2025 has 12.5% alcohol, 5.6 g/L total acidity after complete malolactic conversion and 0.6 g/L residual sugar. Production comprised 41,500 standard bottles and 228 magnums. The wine is biodynamic and vegan.

Tasting profile

Bright yellow with green highlights. Quince, lychee and pink grapefruit are joined by fresh sage and mint. The palate is light-bodied, fresh and approachable, while retaining the substance associated with distinguished vineyard sites.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C. Suitable with starters, fish, vegetarian dishes and white meat. It is ready to drink and can develop through 2029.

Vintage notes

The 2025 season began with early budbreak and a warm spring; flowering occurred by mid-May. Sunny weather and moderate rainfall in July and August encouraged healthy fruit and even ripening. September rain made the harvest more demanding, requiring precise vineyard work and careful hand harvesting. The resulting wines combine freshness, balance, expression, character, elegance and depth.
