Vineyard and terroir

The Chardonnay grows in the municipality of Treiso, on northeast-facing plots at an altitude of 370 m.

Vinification

The grapes are destemmed and pressed. The must is held briefly at a low temperature before fermentation in new French oak barrels.

Ageing

The wine remains in the same barrels for 22 months. Following sterile bottling, it matures for several additional months.

Tasting profile

Complex on the nose, with an intense, persistent flavour and an elegant, refined character.

Label / history

The di Gresy family owned vineyards by the eighteenth century, initially selling its grapes to major regional producers rather than making wine. Alberto di Gresy produced the family’s first wine in 1973. The winery now comprises three estates in Langhe and Monferrato.
