Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Monte Aribaldo estate, which extends over the hills of Monte Aribaldo in Piedmont. The vineyards surround the family’s Villa Giulia, a nineteenth-century hunting estate overlooking the Alpine peaks.
Label / history
Villa Giulia takes its name from the di Gresù family property where Alberto di Gresù developed his interest in the land and wine during childhood. Although his family had owned vineyards since the eighteenth century, it sold its grapes to major regional producers rather than making wine. After graduating from university in Milan and completing an MBA, Alberto pursued winemaking and produced his first wine in 1973, marking the beginning of Marchesi di Gresy.
