Vineyard and terroir
Moscato Rosa is grown in hillside vineyards in the village of Capriva del Friuli, within the Collio DOC area. The Eocene terrain consists of alternating sandstone and loam rock containing limestone and clay, formed from deposits that were once part of the ocean floor. The impermeable soil sheds rainwater across its surface, limiting erosion and preventing water from stagnating. The vines are Guyot trained, and harvesting is performed by hand.
