Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay comes from the Marrucina and Vacri vineyards near San Martino in Abruzzo. The southeast-facing sites lie at approximately 400 m above sea level, with predominantly clay and limestone soils. The vines average 20 years of age.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the second week of September. Fermentation takes place at 20 °C for 15–30 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 23 months in 225 L French oak barriques.
