Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown near Cividale in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification begins with skin maceration to extract colour, tannins and aromatic compounds, followed by fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for 3–4 months, followed by several additional months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The nose offers delicate, complex fruit aromas. The palate is velvety, with a pleasant finish.
Label / history
The wine was formerly named “Martagona” Pinot Nero.
