Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in Magrè on gentle south- and southeast-facing slopes at 220–350 metres. The soils are deep, white, calcareous and gravelly, with a high humus content. The Mediterranean climate brings hot summers and mild winters. Warm southerly winds from Lake Garda contribute depth to the aromas and varietal character.
Vinification
Grapes from all plots are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in small 320-litre oak barrels, followed by nine months in stainless-steel tanks and approximately two years in bottle. The 2019 vintage is expected to reach its full potential between 2024 and 2033.
Tasting profile
Elegant and refined, with a distinctive character and a rich range of aromas.
Label / history
The cuvée was conceived as a distinctive wine made in a modern, international style. Production of the 2019 vintage was limited to 2,000 bottles.
