Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in Petra’s vineyards in Maremma, Tuscany, on limestone-rich, mineral soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates and macerated on their skins at the winery. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in large oak barrels and steel vats.
Serving and pairing
Pair with red meat dishes, steak, hot appetisers and young cheeses.
