Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Petra’s vineyards in the Maremma area of Tuscany, on limestone-rich, mineral soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates and undergo skin maceration at the winery. The must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in large oak barrels.
Serving and pairing
Pairs well with red meat dishes, steak, warm starters and young cheeses.
