Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Merlot grows in a vineyard on a hillside. The soils are rich in manganese and metals, and Mediterranean breezes refresh the vines. These conditions give the wine both power and elegance.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the cool morning hours. They are fermented at a controlled temperature in cone-shaped wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine ages for 15 months in large 600-litre barrels, then for a further 10 months in bottle.
Label / history
The label describes the wine as a "wine from the hills".
