Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from a small vineyard of just 2 hectares on the slopes of Piedmont. Its northwestern exposure helps preserve the freshness of the Erbaluce and brings out the bright, vivid gooseberry and green apple aromas typical of Sauvignon Blanc. Wild brambles grow along the edge of the vineyard, and their blackberries ripen at the same time as the grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into baskets and gently pressed. The must is clarified by cold settling. Fermentation lasts around two weeks at no more than 18 °C.
Ageing
The wine ages for several months in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, which preserves its clean, vibrant style.
Tasting profile
Bright, vivid gooseberry and green apple aromas. The style is clean, vibrant and refreshing.
Label / history
"Arveja" means "rosehip thickets" in the Piedmontese dialect. It refers to the wild brambles along the edge of the vineyard.
