Vineyard and terroir
The Nero d’Avola grapes grow at 300–400 metres above sea level.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September. Vinification takes place in small stainless-steel tanks, with maceration under controlled temperature.

Label / history
The name Tenuta Rapitalà translates from Arabic as “River of Allah.” Count Bernard Hugonis de Gatinais founded the estate in 1971, rebuilding its cellars and winery after they had been almost completely destroyed in the Belice Valley earthquake.
