Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in Sicily at 300–550 metres above sea level, on clay and sandy soils.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are vinified traditionally in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

Label / history
Tenuta Rapitalà was founded in 1971 by Count Bernard Ugonis della Gatine. Its name means “river of Allah” in Arabic. The owner rebuilt the estate’s cellars and winery after they were almost completely destroyed in the Belice Valley earthquake.
