Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards cover 4 hectares in Larciano, north of Florence. Their soil and climate give the grapes strong aromatic potential. Older vines are cordon-trained and short-pruned, while newer plots are trained using the Guyot system to control growth and fruit production.
Grapes
The blend comprises 75% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 10% Canaiolo.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September, with careful selection of the best bunches. Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to retain freshness and bright aromas. Malolactic fermentation is completed in October, immediately after alcoholic fermentation, softening and balancing the wine.
Ageing
The wine rests in bottle for at least four months, during which its flavours become rounder and more harmonious.
Tasting profile
Elegant and well balanced, with bright aromas, freshness and a soft, rounded, harmonious character.
