Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Panzano in Chianti, where the wine is bottled by Fattoria di Rignana. The vineyards lie at 350 m above sea level with southeast–southwest exposure. The soils combine argillaceous limestone and shale, and the vines are Guyot-trained.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese, harvested early.
Vinification
The hand-picked grapes are harvested from September and pressed immediately. The juice is transferred to stainless steel and ferments for 30 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 15°C.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12.5%. Total acidity: 5.62 g/L. pH: 3.10. Production comprises 5,300 bottles of 0.75 L.
Tasting profile
Light in colour, with fresh, mineral aromas and the pronounced acidity characteristic of Sangiovese.

A summer wine suited to starters, light dishes and fish.
