Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from the Briccolina vineyard in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. The vines grow at 340 m above sea level on west- and southwest-facing hills, in clay- and limestone-rich soils. In 2015, Briccolina became Rivetto's first vineyard to be worked biodynamically.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and pressed, then macerated for 50–60 days. Fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in open wooden vats.
Ageing
The wine ages for two years in oak barrels, followed by one year in bottle.
